Title: gearbox / clutch prob
Post by: muddy landy on February 23, 2012, 18:25:14
Hi hope you can help, the clutch felt strange 2 days ago now it crunches going in to gear and feels like there's no biting point but it wants to pull away. The clutch was changed 3 years ago and the master and slave were changed last year there is no loss of fluid. Has anybody had the same problem?

Do you know what brand of clutch was fitted?

Was the fork arm lever replaced too? Though it does sound like the box needs to come off for a visual.

Why not do the basics first regardless of when components where last changed. Check fluid level and condition (colour), bled system through and note any change. Punch through on the fork have different symptoms to what you describe. Was just the clutch lining replaced or whole kit with pressure plate?
