Title: removing range rover roof
Post by: tjsj on April 14, 2009, 20:36:05
Hi guys, I'm currently bobtailing my range rover, We have completly stripped the back of the truck and its ready to be cut, but I'm just wondering how the roof is held to the body as I cant see any obvious bolts or screws. We have undone all the small screws around the outside but it still doesn't want to move!

Can anyone help??

Cheers,
Tom

same when i done mine. its some sort of strong thick glue stuff.

give it a good pull without bending it though.

saying that though just took a roof off another rrc and it came straight off without much fuss at all.

There are screws hidden by black caps along all the doors.  Similar screws around the edge, front, rear and above quarter panels that are only visable when the headliner is removed.  I think there are a couple up by the top tailgate mount too.

Hope this helps.  If it is just down to glue then try a thin bolster chisel and work your way all around.
