had a rover car slam into me on the m6 this morn , traffic had stopped after a minor shunt but he didnt in time , wrote his off , works insurance sent me to main dealer to get 110 looked at and there wasnt even a scratch, got to get me that sticker now :D

'poetic justice' is the phrase that springs to mind :D
If someone cannot stop in time, they are either driving too close or not paying attention to what they are doing.
Glad you and the 110 are OK.

a mate of ours had a similar occurance not long ago in his 90... apparently some chav in a "done up" nova basically drove into the back of him at full crack... for a nova, thats probably about 30mph or so?
anyway all he felt was a bit of a bump... it completely obliterated the nova though  then the chav tried to do him for dangerous driving?! clearly, it didnt work

we were sat at traffic lights in our disco, thought simon had crunched a gear turned out a woman had run into the back of us! ours ok but hers had a lovely rearranged front end!!!!and the car wet itself!!!!

I read on this forum a few months ago about an insurance claim being settled with a tin of hammerite for the rear crossmember!!
Made me laugh!!
-
LoyalDuke wasn't as lucky, his was lifted off the floor and slewed around in the road. All in a 30mph limit too  Nearly a write-off.

Whilst waiting to get onto the Leeds festival site sat in the traffic, hand brake on engine off and being generally environmentally friendly felt a bump and lurched slightly forward. Checked handbrake was on, it was, got out.
The guy in the 07 Merc behind got out and said, "sorry mate don't know what happened"
Which I took to mean foot slipped off the clutch/brake.
Looked at the complete mess of his bumper and tried to see where he had me. Didn't even damage the tow ball cover.
He asked if I wanted his insurance details, but didn't bother as there was no damage.

You should always get details, just in case. You never know when these things turn nasty after the event . . .

I know someone with a disco sat at the lights his foot slipped of the brake pedal rolled back six inches and heard a crunch!.He got out to see an Astra driven by a woman in a long outfit with only her eyes showing.Took one look at the back of the disco not a scratch turned to her and said" What did you run into the back of me for ?.""I didnt "she said. "Lets see what the insurance
has to say.I wont say who won but I did smile.

Someone in a peugot ran into the back of Bagheera. I had the music turned up a tad (grin) ... anyway noticed mad waving in rear view. Stopped, got out, laughed, got back in. Silly moo had only gone and hit the tow hitch and rearranged her bonnet.
She apologised madly! No doubt she was terrified at the possibility of a claim on Bagheera (he was about 2 weeks old!)

Oh Neil, you terror!!
It's not too long since a young lad drove straight into the rear of a parked Ambulance.
It had 'blues'on, and they're not exactly invisible with all that reflective marker tape.
Thankfully the crew were still in the patients house.
I'd have love to have been a fly on the wall when the Police arrived, complete with a white stick & Labrador for the driver.
I believe the bill was in the £20,000 region (or so I was told)

happened a few years ago on the M3. Involved a BMW trying to push in at the last minute and ran out of motorway. Didnt end quite so niceley. I beleive the patien and attendant were killed, the driver thrown clear and the BMW driver ended up in ICU.
This is Why HantsAmb (yeah I know its Southcentral now) Always let the police park at the back :)
