Title: Alarm Problem
Post by: RichardM on March 31, 2007, 16:49:06
My car has started misbehaving today.  The alarm is going off.  It starts a few minutes after I lock the car (either with the remote or using the key).  The alarm sounds for 30 seconds or so and then stops, but then it does it again after another a few minutes and the stops again....
It's a 1995 model with a single button remote.  Has anyone got any ideas where I should start loooking?

Might be the bonnet sensor switch, got me looking round for ages before I found it had broken

Do you have the little key to switch the alarm off?

I wasn't aware that there should be "a little key" I have pulled the appropriate fuse and locked each door individually for now

Mine has a round key like some steering lock bars use, and there is a location for it on the back of the alarm box itself
