I was out this evening to take a few photos & visit a friend near Selby & saw this parked up in Brayton (a village on the A19, just south-east of Selby)
I only got the time to take the photo, as he immediately drove off, so I couldn't have a good look or ask any quesions.
Those 10 Bar-Grips sounded good though
My thoughts are that it's a GMC '2&half tonner', the 'Deuce & A Half'.
Can anyone put me right?

It's in your colour.............. Green.....................
-
are you sure it's not a bottle of aldarian whiskey ?
-
No,no, no!!
It's not a 'Deuce', be it a 'Little.... Coupe' or 'Plus A Half'
I ought to have realised that the 'Deuce' is a lot more rounded & aesthetically pleasing than that.
I found a picture in an old copy of the magazine 'Classic Miltary Vehicle' (June 2001) after a bit of a prompt on 'LandRoverNet'
It is in fact a 1952 REO Speedwagon.
Nothing to do with that American band
See this, for further details.

And as usual...

I'm wrong.
That great guru ofall things Military, Bob Morrison ('LRM' journalist - amongst other publications) has identified it on 'LandRoverNet' as an American Motors M35A2
