Title: hilux surf transfer box ??????

friend has just bought a 3ltr surf ssrx auto on transfer box it has h-N-L4 also a small button on right side of transfer stick shift
the gearbox has L-2-D-N-R-P as the writing inside is Japanese he has asked about it for when he takes it to whaddon hopefully on 24th any info on this so he can use it properly will be much appreciated thanks dont know anything about toyota's myself

hes not in to much of a hurry to try it now as it had a fight with a tree this morning whilst skating on icy road major rebuild if chasis ok mechanic friend of his is looking @ it later poor sod
