Title: where's ya washers?
Post by: dave_2A_2.25Turbo on November 15, 2005, 00:45:03
My '63 has the washer jets in the bonnet.  Just fitted another razor-edge (no carrier) that I got off ebay for 99p (well it did include a screen, apron and a pair of door bottoms as well) and realised that there's no holes for the jets.  So do some have them in the bulkhead? any views on which are best? I've got to drill holes somewhere, so I might as well choose the best....

the washers on mine were originally fitted just below the screen, but i changed them to some mounted on the bonnet.

Get some clip ons, onto the wiper arms, lot less hassle and better coverage

This on the disco, but works well on any arms, got them on a series too

love the idea Kev - it might even get water on the screen that way!!

You just brought the pipe up through the gap at the back of the bonnet?

Loads of room on a series to route the pipe, I split it and brought it up from the outside each side to the arms tied it with cable ties.

Vehicle wiring product do the washer unit, if you can get it use rubber hose not plastic, it seems to last longer. The other bits you can pick up locally, splitter hose etc.

If you want to have heated washer water try coiling the washer hose round the heater pipe a few times
