Title: Knocking noise from engine
Post by: AJWB on February 12, 2007, 22:04:18
I'm looking at buying a 96 Cherokee TD Sport for a bit of off road fun. The seller says it has a knocking noise coming from the engine. Does anyone know what this could be? Would it be easy to sort out? Would you look elsewhere? The only reason I'm looking at this is because I fancy some off road fun (fed up of bashing our Freelander off road), it's cheap and it's local.
Thanks,
Andy

if you are only having it for playing offroad, buy a 4 litre, much better to have the extra power & full time 4wd.....

there are lots about & very cheap so you can afford to be fussy!!

walk away from the knocking VM diesel!!

the 2.5 petrol is an acquired taste........4.0 petrol is more user friendly.
