Post by: lambert on August 03, 2007, 20:49:24
Mine is a tad naf. It will not hold on hills too well. Shoes are properly adjusted and both cables are free to move. Any ideas?

You have'nt got a fluid leak on the back have you which has contaminated the shoes :? You could give this a try, I alway do when I clean the rear brakes, use some course wet&dry & rub the shoes & drums to remove the glazing off them. I find afterwards the hand brake bites a bit better

It has two new brake cylinders on the back one new cable the other is free and a fresh though bedded in set of shoes. Everything is as shown in the service manual both in settings and installation the only old bits are the drums but they look new ish, i'm confused.
