Title: spark plug gap

Hi all,
anyone know what the spark plug electrode gap should be in thou for a disco?

.8 mm for petrol and .7 for lpg
should be about right

My tupenny worth........

Always gap new plugs and don't be tempted to run them with larger gaps or you will blow coils for England..........

I know from experience after the garage that fitted my new engine left the new plugs at 1.2mm.

It only took me 8 coils and 4 months to suss it!!

Most plug manufacturers now recomend you don't re-gap plugs at all.  Too many get broken by poor gapping technique.

Anyway, most I buy  (all in fact) are correct out of the box.

30 thou for petrol, close them down to 27 thou for LPG unless you run iridium plugs, leave these alone - just fit as its.
