where can i get the stick on soundproofing like land rover use on the 90 bulkheads? it s soooo much quieter than the series...so i think i'll be fitting some when i do the engine swap in the 'widow'

dont know if its the same, but theres a place called noisekiller accoustics that advertise in lro. made a big difference to ours.
 also think that allmakes do a sound proofing kit, but dont know any details.

Wasn't there a posting similar to this recently, I'm sure  there was a website it was a marine chandlers I believe that was selling something like what you want

That stuff the boats use seems to be really expensive, I found one place quoting £120 for 1500x100x36 lead filled sound proofing (I think the 100 was 1000 looking at the picture) which seems a lot.

How effective would a HD loading mat from teh back of a transit say be?

It's heavy rubber would that deaden the noise much? You still have the problem of moisture being trapped and rotting what it's against though.

I have an old s3 which has lining all round the inside, to be honest it looks like ordinary carpet, but its effective and dont go mouldy the machine has been sitting for over a year and is still quite fresh inside

the widow is already lined on the inside with good old carpet, its more bulkhead and engine compartment that wants a bt of soundproofing..
