Title: how the hell do you get the starter motor off a 2.8td paj auto????? pls help!!

hi title says it all really, starter packed up a week ago and no matter how hard i try, i cant get to the top bolt to remove the starter from the engine, it is really peeing me off cos i need the car back on the road now!!!!!!!!!!!! please help!!  ](*,)

you need to drop the front prop, then use lots of extension bars and a knuckle (UJ) joint with a 14mm socket on the end to reach the top bolt.

It helps to have a friend to guide it in  :lol:so to speak  :lol:
