Title: New tyres
Post by: Quinny on December 09, 2004, 10:51:02
OK Jeep peeps,

Can anyone give me some advice on the type of tyre most suitable for my Cherokee?
I'm looking at mostly road use but with occassional mud fun at the weekends, I don't want somthing that is going to be excessivly noisy, but it must have some offroad performance.

I'd also like to fit a tyre that will give me a bit more ground clearance as an added benefit

So basically I'm after type, size and price.

All advice greatfully received. (Complete and total novice)

Thanks

Andy

I expect you're going to get a lot of different answeres to this one.... I have wrangler, so not exactly a good comparason but I have been very pleased with the BF Goodridge AT's I've had on for he last 2 years.

They are substantialy better then the Wrangler AT's for grip and noise on road and have passable off road use... no good in thick mud

do you have any idea what size you are looking for 29's of 30's jeep club have a nice little faq on the different sizes you can fit here http://www.jeepclub.co.uk/faqs.cfm?id=2

I hope this helps
