Title: A chassis change??
Post by: ed209 on August 22, 2006, 21:50:59
Hello to you all.
This is all new to me so let me try to exolain without boring you all to death
I have a 1967 SWB series running a standad set up including a smokey oil burner.
After reading about a wide variety of upgrades i was wondering how difficult it would be to put the series body on to a Rangey chassis and running gear and which chassis i would need to do this?

i woulnt know exactley, but it would be a hell of alot of work, including aluminium tig welding for altering the back tub to fit as well as a major amount of chassis modifieing. and after youve modified your chassis, having it retested for a Q plate (DVLA website says any chassis modifiing requires an SVA test).

Nah, you would ruin a classic landy and afaik you would lose your tax exemption.

Hi, get a decent, later oil burner and a set of parabolics and dampers. Better ride and it stays exempt,
Dave
