Thanks Mark,

£540 for doing that :!: , I am going back to doing the service myself.

Do you have the electronic test gizmo ?,  I didn't need one on the 300 series

Yep, I have a full version of Rovacom Lite for the TD5 Disco.

I've got the same due shortly (72k) but managed to get it down to £340, as I don't need the foolowing doing:
Antifreeze, Fuel Filter, Air Filter, Gearbox and T/C oils

As all have recently been done or non standard parts fitted

Just had another look at the schedule and the 72K needs more doing than the 48K and I was quoted a bit less  than £540 for it (before the cut down). So I think you are being over charged.

Speak to Stafford LR (01785 214140) or even Ashley 4x4 (Lr trained independant) 01785 243175. Should be able to give you a better price.

I got £540 discounted to 500 at Bushbury in Wolverhampton, I will try Stafford though.
As a non frachised, Rovamania quoted £250, but since I will loose my warranty by using them, I might as well do it myself.

I if you don't mind me asking how much is Rovacom lite.

And if you are interested we can spray wheel covers LR body colours for  Ã‚£15 each (£60moc)

Chris,

why would you loose your warranty by having it done at a non LR dealer. As long as they use Genuine parts and as per the schedule then your warranty is not affected.  Look in your warranty book, it will say so there.

Rovcom Lite has different costs depending upon the modules that you purchase. Full details can be found at http://www.rovacomlite.com

Will give you a call when I get chance about the the wheel covers

I will recheck, but I am sure it said Land Rover Approved which to me, and I am probably wrong, means main dealers. ?

Cheers anyway.

It is my understanding that they are not allowed to specify or limit the dealer / garage you can use... it would be uncompetitive.

They can insist the garage uses OE parts (that doesn't necessarily mean with a Land Rover badge on), and that the garage sticks to the service schedule.
