Title: Constant Grinding Noise
Post by: landroverkeith on April 15, 2009, 23:14:14
Hiya the missus just got in from work and said the Freelander was making a funny noise she wernt happy with! and I wondered if anyone has any clues as to what i can check?  :-k

Soon as the Car picks up speed u can quite clearly hear a constant grinding noise... now on My Disco i would have said it was a shot bearing but been around the car and cant find any wobble in the wheels, its too late and dark now for me to do much else

Everything seems fine otherwise Acceleration, Braking etc

its a S reg 1.8 petrol S btw

thanks in advance for any help

Keith

VCU bearings?

Had ours go a couple of months ago. The noise changes with speed.
