Title: Engine degreaser
Post by: andycallaghan on January 10, 2009, 22:04:44
Can anyone recommend an engine degreaser?

The underneath is very oily, obviously from previous oil changes.
I've noticed that the oil filter makes a right mess when you change it!

My Dad recommended Gunk engine degreaser, but didn't know if there was anything better.

Ta.

brake cleaner is absolutly brilliant stuff for this, spray it on,blow it with an airline if you can,and the brake cleaner dries realy realy quick, gunk is good, but you have to use water to wash the gunk off,and that bit ent good sometimes, :D
