I know it's quite an ambiguous heading, but it means that more people will read it.
Whilst I was sorting through some old prints the other day in order to scan some for the 'WebShots' page, I came across some of a rather rare Land Rover.
Admittedly not as rare as a Cuthbertson, or Forest-Rover (there's one of those on the 'WebShots'. I think I've got some Cuthbertson photos as well)
These pictures are of a Tickford Station Wagon, the coach-built bodied Series 1.
Only 591 were built between 1948 & 1951 before production ended.
The photos date back to 1989 when I saw an unrestored example in the village where the then girlfriend (now SWMBO) lived.
It might have had a V8 fitted, as there is an electric fan in front of the radiator.
The registration was 'FCX 422'
Does anybody know if this vehicle still exists anywhere?, I've contacted the 'Land Rover Register 1948- 1951' so they can check their records.
