can you run a series 3, 2.25 engine with rangie or mayb even disco diffs?
Cheers

Yes you can, although the petrol engine will be in tip top condition, otherwise you'll find it a struggle to use the higher ratios. I believe the diesel is too underpowered to make them viable.
They're usually better with a tweaked petrol/V8/Tdi conversion

sorry forgot to mention it was a petrol.... i was thinking about gettin a 200tdi engine for it, with a 200tdi i gearbox, but its cheaper to buy a whole car than it is to buy and engine. Im looking for a cheap disco, if anyone knows of one for about

not if its a 109 as it will have a salisbury axle and dont think the disco diff fits
