Title: 'H' reg steering issue.
Post by: fesuvious on October 16, 2004, 10:42:08
Hallo all !

I have a 'h' reg disco. Its got 2" raised suspension and is sitting on 33inch tyres.

The problem is this.
I have a 'clunk' somewhere around suspension / steering (@full lock) and it seems to coincide with the cars wheels not really wanting to self correct after turning a corner. I feel like Im having to guide the wheels back to straight ahead whereas before they self corrected far more.

Initial thoughts are steering damper shot but thought Id get some advice before I dive under the car......

Cheers all.

I had a problem with the last Discovery not correcting itself
after coming of islands, The problem was down to the U/J
on the steering shaft at the top of the steering box, It had
started to seize up, Plenty of WD40 sorted it out.
