Post by: BIG-OKI on March 04, 2006, 21:33:50
hi all
i have been looking on ebay and found this.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Land-Rover-Discovery-Defender-2-Suspension-Lift-Kit_W0QQitemZ4618530414QQcategoryZ31348QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

can anyone advise me on this?

is this a good idea or not?

Best bet is to spend another £80 and do it properly with the correct springs and shocks.  These things are good, but not as good as the springs and shocks themselves.

It depends on want you want to do? But try millservices if you are going that way, as they are cheaper.

£125.00!!!! thats dear you can buy 4 lifted springs 4 £200,I have just finished a 2" lift on mine today and it lifted the motor up 6" at the front the springs were that nackered so its not always a good idea buying spacers unless your springs are pretty new

I sold my full 2" lift inc shocks which had done less than 6k miles for £175 - there are bargains out there... like this nice set of extended braided goodridge hoses to suit a 3 nipple disco  (i.e 5 pipes not 3) :-)  Ã‚£30 +P&P   PM me if anyone wants em

Actually I have a little Q ;)

Paddocks do two lift kits one for with winch and for without.  Have you used a with winch kit on a vehicle without a winch?

I was going to post that Wizard is way cheaper than that...click on the link at the bottom of his post....same thing at less than 70 quid at the moment.
As ever its hosres for courses...i  would look at your springs and make sure thay are A1 otherwise its best to replace the springs.
