I'm going to change the rear Tub on my Series 2a 88'' 1970
Are all the series 2, 2a, 3 all the same Tub?
Other than the corrosion to panels etc what should I be looking for to make sure I get the right part?
I'm changing the Tub because my rear arches have beed modified & I think it looks awful :)

i'm not sure but i think the early S2 were underseat fillers...
J reg should be just about the last of the S2a unless it's ex-military with a release year plate on it, which at a guess (i don't know for sure) might mean it will be the same as an early S3 tub, it certainly looks the same as my tub except yours has the ragtop "horse-shoes" on the back (can i scrounge them if you're not going to be re-using them ??)
if you want to compare it to my tub you're welcome to, mine is pre 74 (early S3) but well "charactered" i'm only by The Fort, LDV area

It dont look too bad ,light weightish!

I want the 'curved arch' look both front & rear. The Lightweight arches are ok if they are front & rear! also I want it back to near the standard look (Whatever that is :))

A Series 3 tub will fit. There are very minor differences between them all. For instance you may need to redrill the holes in the replacement tub for bolting it down at the front because the brackets on the outriggers moved between S2/2A and S3 production.

Thank you :). I'm in the process of doing the swop with the replacement tub I have acquired (Series 3 I think)
I have made a quick comparison with my Tub & looks like a straight forward bolt on job, I have the seat base & floor loose ready to remove the roof etc this weekend (If the bloody rain stops)
Thanks again Tez
