i already have a 2inch spring lift but want another plus 2 to start with what better to do body lift or coil hats moved cant use axle spacers just yet. or this there another method
-
I,m looking forward to the reply's on this one
wizard
-
you seem to know it all allready, so why are you asking :P
-
''axle spacers''
Do you mean spring spacers :?:
-
Knowing what your plans seem to be then for your information a friend has a 2" suspension lift and 3" body lift on his bobtail RRC and runs it on 35-10.5 tyres with no obvious arch cutting.
-
why dont you just put some spacers under your seat, or better still sit on a cushion

Hey come on guys.
No need to take the pee out of someone is there.
We have all had to learn at one time or another.
My advice, i would not bother, i doubt you would get a lot out of it but ultimatly a body lift and spring cups would be best i suppose.
From what i have heard of yourt plans you will need more than 2".
You can do anything you want to your landy, and it is totally possible but bear in mind you are unlickly to be making it any more capable. And possibly a lot less...

Two extended bumpstops for the rear will set you back about £18 including postage.
Maybe this would be the way to go in the short term.

where sells they for 4x4 tyres
-
Try a commercial vehicle specialist - someone must make wider ones.
I do like that side exit exhaust. Was it a one-off custom build or does someone sell them?

You'd have to be talking about quad bikes then cos that's not a quad exhaust now is it? Bungin a halfrauds special on the last 4 inches of 1 pipe does not magically make it 2 all the back down the truck now does it and it wont do a hell of a lot about changing teh sound either - Plus, whats the other silencer looking thing for at the top of the picture, looks like an overly complicated set-up to me and very restrictive with it I'd reckon.....
Oh and to get back on topic, I'm with extended bump-stops as well - with my limited knowledge of suspension geometry, I'd reckon you need them anyway eventually?
-
that just needs some neon lights underneath
-
in the twin exhaust piccy what it that large stainless cylinder on the rear cross member?
-
Thats what I asked and looking at it again I'm convinced its another silencer - but why is beyond me!
-
I thought it was a rather odd tubular rear bumper?
-
cant stop laughing

I dunno who actually owns this Disco but DAM THATS NASTY. If you are going to put that much effort into a twin exhaust system then get it done properly, not by a quick fit apprentice.
I doubt it will last long once you get it off road.
wizard
-
Yes - looking at it again there is one thing puzzling me - why does it cross behind the back axle like that rather than just coming out on the left hand side as per usual? Just seems unneccesary pipework to me!
-
It looks like that thicker pipe on the left of the picture is a 'T' peice with splits the exhaust into 2 a left and right bank which finishes up with the fake twins at either side on those particularly nasty outlet plates.
I'm not knocking the owner of the vehicle, maybe he didn't know the level of workmanship he would end up with but it is quite poor, that T piece would majorly effect the backpressure in a negative way.
I really hope he never paid too much for that, as a decent exhaust manufacturer would have tuned the exhaust for his requirements. That exhaust could feasably be attched to a tdi! Sorry but it gets the     Slow clap award.
