first one when i stripped the doner disco i kept the glow plug relay i know where the main thick wires go but theres 4 thin a black , a brown, and a white, and a white with red stripe not sure where these go any ideas. also on a battery isolater switch the cheap black ones with red key. can you use these on a live battery wire or is it only the earth wire. chears jo

The glowplug bit is easy, have a look here at Nicks (AKA Mr Wuffles on various other forums)[url] site, scroll down the page to "wiring" and all will be explained.
As for the battery cut-out. It doesn't really matter, by disconnecting either the +ve (positive) or -ve (negative), you'll isolate the vehicle. the proper LR cutour switch cuts the earth (-ve), but i tend to do the +ve, no real reason, just "because". the main reason for isolating the negative is if positive terminal was to touch the body then isolating the negative would stop the short. if you isolate the positve nothing would happen as the terminal is before the isolator.
but if you are fitting a winch isolate the positive to kill the winch in case of solenoid malfunction
