Title: Best laid plans of mice and men....
Post by: brixworth-alan on July 02, 2010, 19:01:16
...are laid to naught by Marsland going out of production for the next 6 weeks!

So no Galvo chassis for me or Hightower :(

Tried Richards and they are stacked out for the next 4 weeks, so today's top tip is if you want a new chassis don't believe Paddocks when they say they have them in stock!

Seriously, Richards have a month's lead time on orders and Marsland have a machinery problem so won't be back in production for 4- 6 weeks.

Really?! That's funny because ages ago I called them and they said they kept stock, but calling them last week they said they no longer do and just get Marsland to ship direct....something fishy going on there then.

Any partcular reason why you'd avoid Paddocks?

cheers for the info

Alan

They;re not the only people to have said similar things so I see no reason not to believe them.  somethign I hadn't realised was how big the Paddock empire was, went up to Riber castle (they've moved them up there as they were getting pinched from their yard) to pick the chassis up (and it was the only one) and was chatting to Alan. It's Paddock that's behind the conversion of the castle into apartments, there is/used to be a paddock international that was dealing in classic cars, paddock motors is just a small part of it all.
