Title: 110 tyres
Post by: piggysteve on August 18, 2008, 16:38:14
Just replaced my old Deestone 7.50 x 16's with a set of 235 x 85 x 16 General Grabber AT2's. What a difference steering and braking are no longer a bit of a lottery especially on wet tarmac, pretty good off road too.

The question is what pressures should I run at, the tyre fitter was a bit stuck as well and set them at 34 all round.

Thanks

Steve

I dunno about the Grabbers, but I run my 110 hard top (235x85-16 BFG) on 30 front and 48 rear.

Been running them for about 100k miles and wear is even across the tread. The Grabbers may be different, but it's a start.

The Grabbers are a good tyre.

I'd say that sounds reasonable for a start, I doubt there is much differnece between types of tyre other than some are more tolerent to under/over inflation.

That's about right piggy.. I run my fronts a bit lower at 28. The guys at Nene 4x4 reckon that they can wear a little in the centre at the standard pressures, but you're in the right ball park for sure. A couple of pounds either way can't be too critical.
