Title: Oil in injector pump (One-Ten 200tdi)
Post by: JD LWB on November 26, 2006, 19:58:46
While we were up in the lakes this weekend, Miniman tweaked my injector pump (goes like stink now thanks!)

When he took off the top cover, there was engine oil on top of the diaphram. :-x

Does anyone have any ideas as to where it might have come from, what's caused it and how to fix it?

BTW, the engine runs very well and the turbo does it's job properly.

that cane sometimes happen if its breathing the oily mist frm the top breather into the inlet tract & that makes its way along the boost pipe from the turbo to the INJ pump

It is breathing the oil into the air filter.

Is there anything I can do to stop it (without getting expensive)?
