So....what actually are 750's? I know its R16 and MT, but what about the rest of the fiqures? any help out there - mine are cheapy? kingpins ?

7.50 is just imperial instead of metric.  The case is 7.5 inches.  very similar to a 235/85 but narrower.  Just bought a series 3 wi 7.50's on, looks the dogs!

i run 7.50s at the moment, and jim-willy is right, they look much better than the standard 6.50s, especially when they on rims with a nice large offset to bring them out to the edge of the motor
, but the next time i buy tyres they'll be 235x85s

Yeah mine look pretty sweet and I know nothin bout them rubber things, hell when it comes to it I know nothin at all - thats why I bought a landy  :lol:

I cannot find the pressure marked on the tyre! what do folks suggest they are currently about 26/28..on the tesco's machine pumpy up thingy...

i set all mine to 28, but every make of tyre is different
mine are michelin XCLs

if you notice yours wearing funny adjust it.
if the middle wears, drop the pressure, if the edges wear, up it a bit.
one thing i would say is get them all to the same pressure.
not within 3psi, make the same.
if i get one front tyre on 24, and the other on 28 it pulls it towards the low side.

The pressure is not marked on the tyre, it is to be found in the owners handbook and/or workshop manual (both available new for only a few £ each).
The only pressures marked on the sidewall are the max (and min) pressures that the tyre should be inflated to. Every vehicle runs on different pressures and there is almost always a difference between F&R however this is for the vehicle manufacturer to work out, not the tyre manufacturer.

All tyres now up to 28, still can't find out whats right pressure though!  On a plus side it now feels like I've got power steering - well not quite but its alot easier than last week   :D

I've yet to see it for most vehicles but tyre manufactures publish excelent pressure lists for agricultural tyres, which allow you to chose the right pressure depening on what speed your doing and the weight acting on the tyre though you need to know axle weights for this. I'm sure mechelin et al have these lists for all there tyres but I haven't seen or managed to get hold of any myself.




Unfortunatly (just checked) there doesn't seem to be a suitable manual for series III tyre pressure.
