A hostelry has been on this site since the 1600's, and the current building dates from the late 17th century.
Close to the River Trent for fishing, and convenient to the A1 / A46 / A17.

The only inn within walking / staggering distance from my house...and it's a mile away lol

yes its ok the beer is good

Can't comment on the beer (I was driving) but the food was very good.
