Land Rover is in the garage as the mechanic is getting a price for the part (new/recon). Apparently the problem of starting was down to some vacuum part, and the air flow meter. I just hope he is also watching ebay! I will find out tomorrow how much the part will cost! :sobsob:

Here's a link to help you with the running of your D90, The website is for the Ginetta G33 but it has got a shed load of info on the Rover V8 and lucas injection system, including the proper lucas diagnostic sheets. With those it's possible to test every part of the injection system from the ecu multiplug with a mutimeter. http://www.g33.co.uk/fuel_injection.htm

Apparently I need a â€˜Lucas 2AM Air Flow Meterâ€™ (flapper â€“ with the curved back for 3.5L V8 EFI Petrol, Less Catalyst), part number ERC 9127.
Had a quick look on ebay, but couldnâ€™t see the same one? Any ideas?
Apparently Land Rover sell them for Â£700 (now laying on the floor)!!!!!! :sobsob: :sobsob: :sobsob: :sobsob:

You need seems greater than mine, matey, so if you want it, I'll stop bidding!! It's on Â£31 at present, and I paid Â£44 for one the other week, so fill yer boots!

If it turns out not to be the right one, PM me and I'll buy it off you (assuming you're successful :wink: )

Post by: Range Rover Blues on September 22, 2007, 12:45:47: Holy snot, for Â£150 you could probably buy a second hand Hot-Wire system and retro-fit that. Far more reliable (my LSE runs without the MAF connected).

The problem with my current MAF and intake is that I had a massive LPG backfire, which caused it to go the way of the dodo! :oops:

Post by: Range Rover Blues on September 22, 2007, 13:50:19: It's relatively easy to do if you get the full system as it is separated from the rest of the loom.

You need the inlet manifold and plenum, MAF and airbox, the full loom and ECU then a bit of rewiring (not hard) and it should be ok. Others on here have done it recently too but Blue has been converted since before we got it and it still runs ok.
