Title: Windscreen Leak
Post by: Bush Tucker Man on June 18, 2005, 09:40:24
Over the past couple of months there's been a slight leak appearing on the 50th.
I'll presume that it's from the windscreen seal, but not checked properly.

Does anyone know of a sealant that can be applied to a wet area. Well, I am in Yorkshire & rain is a frequent (almost daily) occurance up here.

There's some products in the ARCO catalogue, but any (cheaper) other suggestions, please

BTM,
I put some pictures recently in the DOC gallery where you can see the windscreen out of a 300. Basically the only place they will really leak is top centre if the fitter didn't use enough sealant. The previous fitter on mine hadn't and it leaked. In the end the only way to seal was to have it done again, luckily for me that coincided with a new windscreen being needed.

Thats one think Richard, if you have free glass replacement on your insurance, you could have a damaged windscreen that would need replacing
