My issue is that I can't shear my sheep when it's this cold, they would die but on the other hand they need clipping as they have started growing next years fleece.

Is it not possible to carry out the shearing inside a barn/shed ?when my family had our farm on Salisbury Plain we had 4 or 5,000 sheep and they would be bought in and sheared in one of our large overwinter barns that would normally house calves
if the weather was inclement,. Worked on the L200 today but no joy she wont play ball

I simply don't have enough space to keep them inside especially for any great length of time given the prediction of a cold may, they will have to wait.

I'm after some cheap sheep pelts if they croak.

going out into rain and wind onto  ridgeway to scream whilst taking dogs for a drenching.

maybe I should build myself a carport.

Did you expect anything less? Really?  It's cloudy down here in Canterbury, but no rain so far, fingers crossed it stays that way

I built a carport to house my Midget ,it now houses Midget, trail bike, 2 mountain bikes, various garden bits and pieces, etc .and not much room to work on said Midget

I submitted plans for one an was refused so now I have a heavy tarpaulin that hooks onto the house that is if I don't go to one of the sheds.

I know, I have no shortage of work but none of it is what I aught to be doing or if it is it's taking twice as long in the wet.
