When under load my 1986 ex military NA 90 with what i think is a LT77 gear box jumps out of reverse.
Not really sure what it could be so am help would be apriciated.
Cheers

If it were any other gear than reverse, I'd say it was a worn selector fork. But reverse is the one that normally wears least.
There is a reverse stop on the gearlever housing. Might be worth checking that is set correctly. There's a bit about it in the standard workshop manual.

Mine kept jumping out of reverse I had to hold it in gear when reversing, fitting HD driveshafts and ARB's and going offroading killed it...hope yours aint that bad. I've put a R380S in mine now

I've got the same problem..If the reverse stop is set correctly its a rebuild or replacement box I'm afraid..I'm trying to save my pennies for an ashcroft one

mine also has this problem which can be interesting on a failed hill climb it seems worse when oil is cold but later in the day or after a long journey its fine
