How do I find out wether this will fit my 1997 SWB 16v 1.6 Vit, I haven't the faintest idea how many teeth my rear diff has but I know it is just about had it as it clunks on set off.

mark we had this problem with ur front diff lol a standard vit diff shud have 41 teeth on crown wheel the pinion teeth count wud be 8 giving the ratio of 5.125 which is the norm for vits
not much help really :wink:

the figure u give the ratio of 4.873 which is a derv ratio

Hey Simon, I"ve just had the diff out on my vit and guess what?, it has 39 teeth !!!.

Seriously though I have no idea, I'm beginning to wonder if this was originaly a diesel model but I thought that diesel wasn't available in SWB in 1997 :? :?

as said b4 m8 its a new one on me only thing i can think off its had the diff's changed for some reason iiwy id swap to standards 5.125 ur get more mph out of it too :shock:
