Title: 88 into 100

right, cos it ain't sold it's gonna get modded,i want to put my landy v6 engine/gearbox and body onto my spare rangie chassis,but keep it 100 inch.anybody done this before all tech help appreciated.thanks .robbie.

get yerself a 109 rear tub and shorten to suit. A 110 tub may work too and would have the advantage of a set back bulkhead.

Note, if you do this, what you are left with is a modified Range Rover and should be taxed, insured and registered as such.

from my interpretation of the rules you aren't going to "radically" alter the vehicle by changing the body and replacing engine and gearbox, however your interpretation may vary, especially if you do anything to the chassis.  At worst it would need an SVA and a Q plate.

got my first problem,i wanted to use the landy gearbox but the diff locks are on the front axle which was gonna be scrapped....am i right in assuming i need a rangie box with viscus set up

no dont think so,if you fit your landy gbox ,tbox & v6 it will be driving the rear axle all the time till you select 4 wheel drive,if im right in thinking you may have free wheeling hubs on you original front axle that you would be scrapping??
i no a few guys up here have coiler motors with landy s3 tboxs in them

so using landy box is ok then, :D it was the fwh that i could'nt get my head round.but if it drives front axle in 4wd thats great news. :D .cheers mates....by the way nice truck suggs...like it
