Title: Iceland trip or the like
Post by: Discotel on August 24, 2008, 17:55:37
Hi all,

Me and a couple of mates are thinking of going on a bit of an adventure, I suppose watching Long Way Roun has not helped.. :D..Anyway we were thinking og maybe Iceland, but then cost has to play an issue, so we thought maybe the lakes or wales, snowdonia...Any ideas peeps...Must have some good lanes with some water and a bit of wow factor..You know somewhere you would want to go again...We are planning this within the next 2 months so a speedy response with lots of info would help...And any O/S map no's needed.

Regards, Terry

Scotland then. I have just done a trip around the cost of scotland and around skye nearly 1600 mile wales is nice and so is the lakes but Scotland will give you by fare the biggest WOW by far.

Ps used Memory map and the lanes are not marked up very well best ask the locals "some on here"for the lanes open and the ones closed.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply..To be honest after a lot of talking we are going to go to either the peaks, or Snowdonia..not to far to drive and it offers good thrills...Should be a laugh, we are aiming for Sept 27th Wk/End over a 3 day period, we will leave on the Friday afternoon, do some laning on Saturday and a bit on Sunday then drive back on Sunday Afternoon or Monday morning.
