i did mine with the drivers door open :D

I had mine done the first time at the local stealers.

They set it up and came back and said there was a problem.

I'd just bought a brand new fob as I didn't want to get caught with no fobs. Life does get difficult then.

They said my fob wasn't working and I'd need to buy another.

I said how did you turn the alarm off that I'd set before I walked in.
In other words they'd used my fob to disable the alarm.

I had to make quite a bit of noise in front of other customers before they caved in and gave me another brand new fob.

They weren't happy. So it does go wrong sometimes.

I would have thought leaving a door open would either trip the alarm immediately, or stop it arming in the first place :?

Anyway, maybe I'll give it a go tomorrow...
