The PAS reservoir won't hurt to sit a little lower down, as long as the fluid is above the level of the pump. You can locate it further back but be careful that the pipe don't foul anything.

Good, Now to sort out a quick temporary solution for a couple of months with the airbox until I get a snorkel :?

The tube that comes out of the airbox - does that actually do much at all? Is there some sort of filtration bit in the tube as well as the box? If not you could just take it off.
