Which winch?

--- Quote from: "Thrasher" ---Er....ok...bit confused now. It *is* a Warn, on the Warn website. These other ones we were talking about are "other makes" on their own websites, i.e. "the inside of this are a Warn, but it's called an X" and you wouldn't see it in Warns site....
Interesting however to see that Warn have done this though. But also cheering to see they are also making sure that people know it *is* a Warn, and not a chinese copy ;-)

Spose its a way of using a 'classic' design that would otherwise had been replaced in the range, and renaming as a reason the maintain the higher pricing on the warn branded stuff.

I have a Superwinch EP9 and has pulled me out of some sticky stuff on several occasions. Also makes mincemeat of unwanted wooden buildings
It is obviously a 'budget' device, but is quite well built as far as I can see. It does have an unusually long clutch housing so make sure you choose a suitable bumper.
Last year Goodwinch (David Bowyer) were offering them VAT free at Billing so I got mine for £375. This included lengthening the cables to reach the 110 battery. Might be worth waiting for a show in case he is doing the same this year.
