Could be the power steering pump on the way out?

Happened on mine, pulley goes wonky. Belt squeals(at first),

then starts shredding, luckily caught it be for the belt gave up,

and started smashing around in the engine bay.

Just a thought, i'm not much good with the oily bits i'm afraid.

If it was the power steering pump wouldnt it squeel all the time? not just when moving? as is the fault on mine, only happens when the vehicle is in motion. The engine idles & revs quietly!

well heres the update, it wasnt the wheel bearings, nor the power steering pump, nor the breaks, it was a collapsed UJ on the fron propshaft according to the garage!! so not as expensive as i first thought!!!
