Been To See 'BatMan'

(1/2) > >>

Bush Tucker Man:
in one word  WOW!!!

What a great film.
Waynes progression through hid formative years is a tough one, by his own choice.
The finding of the Bat-Cave.

And the first scene as 'the Dark Knight'   , superb!

Gotham actually looks like a normal city, not Tim Burtons (albeit still good) version

Inspired casting.
Michael Caine does work as Alfred
Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox (B-M's Quarter-Master)
Gary Oldman as a young Sergeant James Gordon

And as for Christian Bale. Spot on!

BatMobile is great fun as well

Go See This Movie!!!

Very open ending with an Arkham Asylum villain leaving his 'calling card' for the Police..............

Jake:
Cant wait to see this!!
Patience my boy, patience  :D

Vam:
Thanks BTM!

Seeing it tommorow can't wait!

Bush Tucker Man:
Hope you enjoy it Helen.

It was just a quick posting last night as I was pushed for time.

Once more, it is a treat, and the concept of a gleaming vibrant Gotham seems quite alien, but it actually works.

As Bruce is preparing his armoury, the first drive of the 'BatMobile' is quite good :D
It was on 'Top-Gear' last week & is quite a beast.

Fox (Morgan Freeman) figures out what Bruce is doing, he doesn't actually say it, but he put '2 & 2 together'.

Oh & Rutger Hauer is in it as well, as a slimey Exective.

datalas:
I think the detail which struck me most abou tit was how little like a comic it seemed, there appeared to be a concerted effort to make everything seem real, or at least plausible.

The technology is currently beyond us, but yet, still achievable, the characters were driven by things we could all understand.

The acting was quite remarkable as well, not an ounce of show stealing in any of the cast, they genuinely wanted to make a film version of batman more in key with "The Dark Knight Returns" than with Adam West's camper than a field full of boy scouts.

I want a sequal already ...  (pout)
