V8 heater matrix

(1/2) > >>

drmike:
The Range Rover heater matrix is leaking, not much but it won't get better. I'm happy to lose the heater so I can just take it out of the flow but how do I join the two pipes sticking out of the manifld that feed it?

TIA

Mike

hobbit:
Two ways one heater pipe from the matrix to where the other pipe enters the engine, or remove both pipes from the heater and fit a piece of pipe inside the pipes, ie like copper plumbers pipe and clamp

drmike:
But the two pipes have different diameters don't they? So I can't just run one rubber pipe from the two metal pipes from the manifold - unless you know better of course!

Mike

hobbit:
Not really I just presumed they were the same size, whoops sorry

Can you block them off some how.

The coolant does not have to flow through them

Something like brake pipe clamps

muddysteve:
i've got one you can have for £40 complete including the fan, switches, housing etc
