have i got ACE, and whats this black box has it been chipped

It's not chipped, it's just an intercepter box.
The ECU chip will still be standard!!

All it does is modify the signals being sent to the injectors, changing pulse widths etc...

If you disconnect the wires (most likely bodge fitted with blue scotch locks) then the engine will be back to standard.  
I doubt the boost has been played with as on a TD5 Disco, boost pressure control works works differently, so no real need to shorten the actuator to increase boost....

People like Scorpian etc sell these black boxes, which IMHO is a bodge way of engine tuning anyway.
Much better to go for a tested, developed and proven chip replacement... my recommendation would be JE Engineering or Jeremy Fearn.

Take it off and stick it on Eblag if you don't want it!!

well found out what it is, its made by Tunit and cost about £500, and as porny said it re-programs the injectors, gives about 160 bhp and 225lb of torque, and is harmless as dosent over boost the turbo, it can be unpluged and leaves the engine as standered, ill unplug it and see what the differance is, but i must say the car does run really well and has plenty of power and has done about 250 miles on £35 worth of petrol, and it looks like its been wired propley cant see any scotch locks
