Quotes in posts

luffy:
OK, I'm showing my ignorance with this question as I should know how to do this.
When replying to a post, how do I get "so-and-so" said at the top of the message rather than "quote". It doesn't seem to work if I use the
--- Quote ---[/qoute] method.
I personally find it a lot easier to follow the conversation if the person replying puts the name of the user they're replying to in their post and I would like to be able to do the same :)
--- End quote ---
gords:
Put the user name in the
--- Quote --- - i.e.
--- Quote from: "luffy" ---, or just click the "quote" button at the top right of the message :)
--- End quote ---
--- End quote ---
Bush Tucker Man:
You're forgetting the = in the initial
--- Quote from: ---
Also you need to put 'Speech Marks' in there, ie; [quote="luffy"
I didn't know for ages until I asked the same question (I'm a genuine 'Techno-Luddite')
--- End quote ---
luffy:
Thanks chaps I'll give it a try.
Hadn't even noticed the quote button at the top right corner of the message
Budgie:
For the full list of what you can do then have a look at the BBCode in the Options part of the "Post a Reply" window (below & left of the main typing window.
