*Stolen*
Thrasher:
Lifted from alt.fan.landrover
"A good friend of mine has had his 101 nicked.

500 quid offered for any information leading to the safe recovery of
the truck and conviction of the scum who nicked it. This is a very
unusual truck and would not be suitable for immediate resale. It's
likely that it was an opportunistic theft - either that or stolen to
order, or for spares.
Anyone who notices 'unusual' ads for 101 parts, perhaps on eBay,
please let me know. The rims, for example, were made for, and will
only fit a 101 due to the six stud pattern."

very nice looking 101 i will keep em peeled
Range Rover Blues:
Likewise, but as you say it was probably taken to order and will be in peices already, either that or it went through a branch of Dixon's backwards.
hobbit:
Yes true, but you can hope, I would have thought it may have left the country in a container, that is a nice motor I must admit
A bl@@dy shame all the work thats gone into it it must have been devastating to loose it

I did wonder whether a 101 would make a good ram-raiding vehicle, but probably not, as the driver is about the first thing to go through the concrete wall. Backwards, like you say, is obviously the key to it.
I'm still surprised that somebody would steal a 101. They're so distinctive, and the community is so small, that if it resurfaces I'd have thought somebody would have spotted it very quickly, and any parts which come on the market are likely to be spotted likewise. Goes to show.
