anyone got a sammy carb going cheap??? dont wana gold plated version just one that works

thanx simon

robbie:
I have 2 of the damned things, neither changed the problems I had with the fuel and I honestly think that the problem was the emission control stuff in there causing problems.

You are more than welcome to them if you want them, might cost you the postage tho cos they do weigh

thanx robbie
tell ya wot the prob is the missus's sammy will start as long as you dont touch the gas pedal
but as soon as u do it stalls the engine but if you gently rise the revs by hand via the carb it will rev up but sounds like its missing

any help wud be great

simon

wing nut:
i had that problem but ..found it was the fuel filter, serves me right for not changing it in the first place.. but had the same symptoms as yours from the sound of it

robbie:
our was just running like crap pretty  much all of the time. We paid £10 for another carb that was supposedly off a good runner but it didnt make any difference.

We now run on a Nikki carb (straight replacement on the manifold) and it runs like a dream.

From that, it was either 2 carbs that were knackered, or something associated with the emission stuff from the original carb. Dunno which cos we didnt work through the problem
