clutch noise maybe .... HELP !

<< < (3/3)

datalas:
perhaps, perhaps not...

but metal on metal is bad, and tim has been through more gearboxes than I have clean pairs of socks (how many you ask, ooh at least four)

Either way, an inspection plate is perhaps unlikely to tell you much :(

range17:
Ok is it a gearbox out job to check the bearings that Tim talks about

scooby:

--- Quote from: "muddyweb" ---If it happens when the clutch is fully engaged and you are driving, and is more noticable in 1st and 2nd, I would think it is more likely to be the mainshaft or layshaft bearings getting noisy.

Hard to tell without actually hearing the noise of course :-)

i would go with tim.

MUSKIE:
are you sure its not hand brake shoes rubbing inside the drum or a build up of crud inside the drum :?:  :?:

karloss:

--- Quote from: "scooby" ---i would go with tim.
