Have you checked that dvla thing to see if it is still on the road?

It's shown as SORN by the DVLA. So it still 'exists' in some form or other. At least the current owner is re-SORNing it every year. It's next due April 2013.

Might be worth puttin it on Twitter, that foes rely on followers & retweets. If you have a rough area where it was I can put the photo, reg & last known area on Twitter. Might help, and well worth a try. A girl recently tracked down her old motorbike thru Twitter.
