flexi hose

Boddle:
A friend of mind had a similar problem trying sort out of getting some pipe to go between his home made snorkel and the airfilter on his converted 300TDi 90. The best way we found was to get a solid pipe for the most of the length, most flexible hoses will collapse over these sort of length unless you can get hold of the sort used by Motor manufacturers these are specifically moulded for the job. I know my freind even try aquariums to fine what we need no luck.
What we did eventually was to have a solid pipe a few mm short of the length of distance between snorkel and airbox, and use 2 short length (aboout 100mm) of of Silicons rubber hose bought from ebay, There are people on there that speciallise in hoses, to cover the joints and was strong enough not to callapse when put you foot down.

Thanks guy. could use 3 straight bits of drain pipe stuff and 3 elbows with a bit a rubber flexi to join them to togeather to the snorkel or last resort is to do it properly and cut the air box and fit the proper moulded plastic stuff thingy ish then at least I know it will do the job, just thought there had to be an easier way to do it

fit a Pipercross Viper Induction Kit VFC 109, thats what ive done and it does away with the air box altogether.... carbon fibre filter housing looks pretty cool too!! hehe
