I started out didn't know what i liked so went with a mate to a pay& play site, got the bug for that, my local site is about half hours drive but i don't take mine round we use a mates series or d1, just starting out doing Laning with my local 4x4 offroaad club enjoying that i use mine for that.

funnily enough got my D2 2 years ago over that time got the Stering guard, lightbar on the roofnext bits over the next few months  are gonna be diff guards/ tank guard with reciver hitch and snorkel then thats as far as i will mod it. mind you when I got this disco said i weren't gonna mod it hahah

Think i'll be doing bit of both TBH...... will go to pay and play once i've got some more experience but only when i'm comfortable with my skill level and have a good idea of the capabilities of my truck. Be rude not to having parkwood just up the road in Tong village  :wink: but think there'll always be a need for the more serene lanes as i have 3 kids, the eldest of which is chomping at the bit to come off road  :smiley:

never been to Parkwood  my local site is The Devils Pit Bedfordshire nice site, you tend to get more end of life motors running about in there. There's one Disco there last time and it looked like the Devil had chewed it up and spat it out lol

I also use Yarwell in Peterbough nice site got tracks for all types of drivers. bigish site there was 42 Disco 2's there from one off the clubs i'm with and other people there and it still seemed empty . This is the site that they use for the offroading couse at the LRO show in september.
